Robert Dudley was born and raised in Toronto, Ontario, and from a very early age, he found creative ways to express his energy. While earning a degree at the University of Kings College he also studied at the Nova Scotia College of Art & Design. He returned to college as a mature student earning a diploma, with honours, in Metal Arts from the Kootenay School of Art and a diploma in Fine Wood Working from Selkirk College. Robert has always been inspired by three dimensional forms, especially those created from natural elements: wood, metal, clay and stone. It is his decades in the bush, camping and tree planting, and his years of travel in Australia and South East Asia that have inspired in him a love of nature and an appreciation for the diversity of its form. He now creates functional and decorative accessories for the home and person, whether it is custom wood and metal furniture or fashionable jewellery and belt buckles from his OffCut Accessories line. He is lucky to have a wood shop and forge on his property where he lives with his wife and young son.
